Members (individuals, clubs, or states) are strongly encouraged to register their event so that players are protected under Quadball Australia’s insurance and can make claims in the case of injury. Registered events must abide by Quadball Australia event and gameplay policies, outlined below. Any game between teams must be conducted at a registered event in order to be considered an official ranked game.

Clubs or individuals may apply for event registration by filling out the Event Registration Application form. This must be done no less than 4 weeks before the commencement of your event. You will then be notified if your application is successful or if there is any further information that Quidditch Australia requires before approving your application.

If you have any questions regarding the event registration process or requirements, please contact us at admin@quadball.org.au.

Organisers should note that the application form need only be submitted once to have all trainings registered.
Individual applications need not be submitted for every training session.

Event Requirements

The event must satisfy all of the following criteria to be approved as a Quadball Australia Registered Event:

  • All on-field participants are members of Quadball Australia under the relevant membership category.

  • The event space has adequate access to amenities including but not limited to adequate shelter, a water source and bathrooms.

  • If food is provided, the food handling and safety procedures must comply with the Food Health and Safety standards the state the event is held in.

  • A risk assessment must be completed and submitted to Quadball Australia for review.

  • An evacuation procedure must be in place in case of an emergency.

Risk Assessment

Quadball Australia requires a Risk Assessment to be submitted with every event registration application. This is to ensure that the event complies with Quadball Australia’s safety standards and that the event organisers are aware and have accounted for any potential risks that may present at their event.

If the location at which the event will be held requires you to complete their own risk assessment or if your club is affiliated with a university or community group that requires you to complete one, you may submit that to Quadball Australia along with your application. If not, you may use Quadball Australia’s risk assessment template.

The risk assessment template can be found here: Quadball Australia Risk Assessment Template.docx
