Having discussed Branding and Recruitment, Ajantha leads discussion on what makes people stay in the sport and what makes people leave, in order to interrogate how best to improve retention in the sport.
Ajantha discusses how to take your club's brand and advertise it to recruit new members. The group does some brainstorming about recruitment at different levels and various challenges that teams face.
Ajantha discusses ideas around branding, how to brand quidditch, how to brand a club, and looks at examples from existing clubs around the world. We also look at some social-media do's and don'ts from Tegan Diep.
For the final Open Space Discussion, Maria leads discussion around refereeing, how to bring in more new referees, and how to improve the standard and experience of referees.
For Open Space Discussion 4, Courtney brings the focus to creating resources to help develop skills in volunteers like coaches, and the group has a broader discussion around volunteer recruitment and upskilling in general.
For Open Space Discussion 3, Kelsey brings the focus to developing youth leagues as a source of long term recruitment, and the group discusses recruitment and outreach activities generally.

Jamie introduces Open Space Technology, the group comes up with five major strategic focuses for QA over the next five years, and we have a focused discussion around the first - changing the name of quidditch.
Having discussed values and our vision, the group tries to come up with a single ‘tag-line’ type statement to encapsulate these ideas, that might serve as Quidditch Australia’s vision statement. Listen to our discussion and see what we came up with.
In this session, we take the ideas raised in our introductions and try to brainstorm values we associate with quidditch, and all things that are good and important in the sport that we want to make sure stays a part of it in the future. We also look to the values of the IQA as an example, and use this as a lead in to start discussing where we would like to see the sport in 5 years.
In this session Alison introduces herself and the ideas and purpose behind the forum. The group then goes around and introduces themselves with a discussion about what attracted them to quidditch and why they have stayed in the sport, as a lead into the next discussion around values.
